If someone had to ask me to choose a single tourism destination that successfully works alongside a holistic ecosystem and the preservation of it, it would be Kurisa Moya on the outskirts of Magoesbaskloof. No doubt.
Still bathing in the joy of winning Gold at the African Responsible Tourism Awards, I find it quite apt that this week’s #tuesdaytravelstory is a shortfilm I completed last week on a destination that never seizes to inspire me. I have written about Kurisa Moya before, but regardless of the amount of times I write about this place, I will never be able to put into words what Lisa, Paul and David have taught me (and continue to teach me). Their profound outlook on conservation and nature is mirrored in all the workings of the place.
I hope you enjoy the film and that it inspires you to visit this magical place in the Woodbush Forest of South Africa. Remember to turn your viewer to HD and consider connecting your earphones to enjoy the special sounds of the forest.
